Based in LOS ANGELES California and TRAVERSE CITY Michigan, Practical is the production house behind Director JohnPaul Morris and the notable independent features “Quicksand” (2023) and “An Autumn Summer” 2024. Practical was established in 2009 as a commercial production company that branched into feature story development in 2015 and feature film production in 2019. Today, JohnPaul and the team that is Practical produces feature films, commercial work, robust visual effects work, and is proud to be a Filmsupply contributor— licensing footage to clients like Apple, BMW, Aston Martin, PBS, Amazon, and Facebook.
Though we value versatility, we specialize in creating engaging concepts that are emotive and human.
